Children of Papua 13
I pretended not to notice them as they peeped from behind the bamboo while I photographed their village and talked to some of their parents. But one boy made this “you’re it!” gesture when I started focusing my lens on his shirtless troop.

You pretended not to notice them and they pretended to hide behind the foliage until one little guy called all of you on it. Delightful!

To me it’s the instinct they’ve inherited from their parents — hide behind the bush when unsure of what animal they are facing — and I probably looked like some nasty predator 🙂 I can imagine them as adults observing things from behind the foliage with spears, bows and arrows in their hands.

Great pic! I didn’t mean to mess up your stars–I was trying to give you 5 stars, but they wouldn’t highlight! 😦
