Dugout 14
The shape of this dugout reminds me of a movie starred by Kevin Costner where the conflict was all about finding dry land on a water-engulfed world. This one, though, was very close to dry land — Daru Island in the Gulf of Papua.

Wonderful photo, looking like for all the world, that they are out there adrift in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, it’s easy to imagine that there’s nothing else for miles around them. Thanks, Angeline.

Very evocative image though it might be a better presentation without the watermark. I think you can protect your images by simply saving them as 72 dpi jpegs and avoid using a watermark entirely.

Thanks for the kind comment and the suggestion, speeddemon2. I know what you mean about the watermark affecting the presentation and its a valid comment. I think I’m taking the middle ground in this debate (between those who share your view and those who advise placing the most glaring and conspicuous watermarks) by making my watermarks as discrete as possible. Plus, I treat each of my photo like my own child so I want them to carry my name. 🙂 Btw, loving your work and the intricately processed photos you produce.

Great title on this photo – fare, fare better then that silly Kevin Costner movie. Stunning photo you have provided us with again.

Thanks a lot. At least I didn’t have to spend as much on this one as Kevin Costner did on his movie. 🙂

That film was the worst film he ever mad … same with the “Postman” – but he has the money to failure and behind every success there is failure.

Was just thinking today about adding a AMA to my 22ft sailboat. It looks about that size. As always great photos.
