Sandbar
An early morning scene at White Island, a sandbar just 5 minutes boat ride off the main island of Camiguin in the Philippines.
This starts a short series on Camiguin Island. I gathered a number of photos when I spent a long weekend on the island in mid-August after two weeks in PNG. I’ve been to another country since then and have gathered literally more than a thousand images which I’m excited to work on and post. But I didn’t want to skip posting this set as I know that it will be hard to go back to them once I have moved to another photo set. In order to catch up, I have adjusted my posting schedule to once a day — quite ambitious considering my schedule but it’s a better option than confining my work to the archives. In a way, it’s also good to have a look at sunny places when fall is about to end and winter is on its way. Thanks for being a part of these travels. 🙂
I too will be waiting with anticipation during those cold days of winter!

Thanks, Bonnie. This series will be quite short but it will be my pleasure to share with you more warm images in the next series. Cheers.

Thank you so much, Gina. I seldom take against-the-light photos but this one came out just fine, I suppose.

Same here but breaking the rules is what we do, isn’t it?

Jessie, I use the schedule a post function on my blog. I am sure all WP blogs have them and it may allow you to post more by setting up several in one day. Just a thought.
Your photos once again has my mind pondering something: I wish we used more color here in the States on boats and houses and such……. it is what it is i suppose.

Thanks, my blog friend. Your thought about use of colors in the States is interesting. I never thought of it that way before.
Thanks for your suggestion. I do use the scheduled posts function and my schedule is usually advanced by 1 to 2 months so I can focus on my regular work while on travel. I try to avoid making more than 1 post in a day. I observed that average response time to a post is 2 days and this was why my previous posting schedule was every other day which I found effective in terms of getting maximum response. In other words, 1 post a day makes it more difficult for the viewers to catch up, more than 1 post a day will simply overwhelm the viewers — meaning I will be able to post more but I will get much less response per post. I don’t know if this makes sense to other bloggers.

It does make sense to me at least. Be well and safe and keep taking the shot!

Against the light worked wonderfully well here! I’ve never seen that kind of effect on sand. It’s interesting and dramatic.

Backwards in the sequence, I know, but I still love the footprints. Nice shot!
