During my downtime, while in Kiunga, I revisited the banks of the Fly River where I took most of the photos for the dugout series. But, this time around, I was not going on a boat ride and we were not rushing to catch an appointment with a village. And so I just spent my time exploring and photographing anything that caught my attention on the riverbank, among them were houses and other structures on stilts. A recent flood had left plenty of muddy water under the structures, adding dramatic effects through the reflections on the water. This post starts the series on those images.
