Sunday Close-up: The Stare
I’m using this photo of an owl (Young and weak with exhaustion after being harassed by crows, she was rescued by farm staff. I had to take this close-up shot before we let her go.) to start this new series, “Sunday Close-up” which, as the title suggests, will feature macros and close-ups of random subjects. With that intensely intelligent gaze, I thought that her image would give a good introduction to the series. Have a blissful Sunday!
Poor baby. I hope she’s okay now. She is stunning.

Stunning image and very apt for ‘close-up’ category – she really is looking at us closely! I have seen crows and even babblers (white headed babblers) harrassing owls a couple of times. I’m so glad to know she was rescued.
