Oh, that was a good break thanking everyone. The warm responses to my previous post from many of you got me fully recharged with inspiration as well. Now back to regular programming. 🙂
I still have 1 more photo set for this series on the Kakheti then we’ll move on to Georgia’s southwestern region near the Black Sea on which I have prepared a series of exciting stories and photo sets as well. I initially thought of inserting a series on another country for variation but then decided that I might as well be done with my Georgia series first before moving on to another country. There are several other interesting places I want to visit and photograph in Georgia and I’m hoping to visit again soon so it’s best to start anew by then.
Speaking of another country, I’m quite anxious right now getting ready for another assignment in a place which I’m afraid might be too exotic for me. This is also why I already got my next sets drafted and ready to post as I’m not sure how much internet time I will get in that place. I’ll make sure to keep posting but I assume that interaction with subscribers and fellow bloggers will get limited. The good thing is, I’ll have completely new stories to tell and fresh photos to show after the assignment. So stay tuned. 🙂

The drag of endless mental work in a strange land takes its toll. Fatigue can kill so petty escapades provide hopeful deviations from the brewing madness. An aging DSLR keeps good company to a walk around the neighbourhood, a short drive to a scenic place, or a silent recollection in a quiet nook granting that the host community and the elements of nature would allow one a safe passage to solitude and contemplation. Loneliness quickly turns to joy when something exciting gets captured by the cam’s shutter then set free into the laptop’s screen followed by electric words that rush from the fingers to the keyboard in an effort to describe the moment. Alas, the brain is alive once again!

Sorry I didn’t comment to your last post….what an amazing accomplishment! I am new to your blog and excited to start checking it all out. Your pictures are amazing (if only I could ever be so good!) and I love the exotic locations. I am curious now where you are going. Hmmmm. I felt like the most exotic place I’d been to was the Himalayas in Nepal but now I’m thinking I need to see even more off the beaten path. That is where true adventure lays! I’d go anywhere as long as it is safe. There are so many places I’d love to go but worry about safety now given how the world has become….a turbulent place! Looking forward to your next posts!

The woods are lovely. I love bare trees. They have such a sculptural effect. And the tone you used..sepia?/antique?….just brings that effect out for me. Nice!

Caucasian Woods. It looks like a beautiful country road you’d find in the Driftless area of Wisconsin. The SW corner of the state, along the Mississippi River.
