Stilts 1
During my downtime, while in Kiunga, I revisited the banks of the Fly River where I took most of the photos for the dugout series. But, this time around, I was not going on a boat ride and we were not rushing to catch an appointment with a village. And so I just spent my time exploring and photographing anything that caught my attention on the riverbank, among them were houses and other structures on stilts. A recent flood had left plenty of muddy water under the structures, adding dramatic effects through the reflections on the water. This post starts the series on those images.

Thanks, miltonjohns. This series is a sort of a follow-up to previous ones (lots) I did on Papua New Guinea. I’m working in another country right now but this will have to wait. 🙂
